This Egyptian pendulum is known as a Thot pendulum. This type of divination tool is famous because of its specific shape, great for both emission and reception. Thot pendulums are reproductions of Ouadj / Wadj amulets, like the one discovered in a sarcophagus in the Valley of the Kings in Egypt. These amulets are shaped as papyrus stems, to symbolize health, eternal youth, and eternal life.
