- Jewelry and pendulum storage,
- The different materials,
- Gemstone care.
How to care for your creation
To keep your creation shiny, remove it before bathing, swimming, or showering. As well, direct contact with chemicals, perfume, and creams, should be avoided.
How to store your jewelry or pendulum
What could tarnish a piece is mostly air and moisture. To protect your piece, you can store it in a jewelry box, a dedicated box, or even a ziplock bag. Your precious creation shouldn't be stored in an often moist room like the bathroom. To avoid any scratches, keep your piece untangled while storing it.
Focus on the different materials:
Zinc alloy/steel:
These materials can tarnish without the proper care. To keep them gorgeous, avoid water, and chemicals, and store them in a dedicated space. Simply clean them with a soft cloth.
Stainless-steel
Stainless steel products can't tarnish. Just make sure to keep them away from scratching.
Gemstones care
Delicate, gemstones require the proper care to keep their shine and colors. You can clean them with a soft cloth.
If your gemstone piece is made of stainless steel, using water to clean it can be a possibility, but only if the crystal can handle that. Many gemstones shouldn't be washed with water as they are too porous, too soft, or because they contain copper.
Here are some gemstones that shouldn't be placed in water, even if the piece is made of stainless steel:
- Fluorite
- Black Tourmaline
- Aquamarine
- Turquoise
- Pyrite
- Ruby
- Moonstone
